Secundrabad: A constable of Special Protection Force (SPF) allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself with his rifle in Secunderabad on Sunday morning.
The deceased, identified as Madhu, worked with SPF and was deployed at Bank of Maharashtra for past few years.
Locals raised an alarm when they found Madhu in a pool of blood. Cops suspect that he had shot himself at around 7 am in the morning and died due to excessive bleeding.
Constable shoots himself in Telangana Mahankali Police swung into action and reached the incident spot upon receiving the information. The body was sent for post-mortem at Osmania General Hospital after preliminary inspection.
However, the reason behind the constable's extreme step is yet to be ascertained.
A native of Bathalapalli, Madhu is survived by his wife and children. Police have registered a case and an investigation is underway.
