Soil from Ujjain's Mahakaleshwar temple to be sent to Ayodhya for Ram temple ceremony

After the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teertha Kshetra trust announced the Bhoomi Pujan of the Ayodhya Ram Temple, various organisation are donating many auspicious things for the occasion. In the wake of this, soil and Bhasma of Mahakaleshwar Temple will be sent to the Ram Temple on the foundation day.

Ujjain (Madhya Pradesh): Soil and Bhasma (ashes) from Ujjain's Mahakaleshwar Temple will be sent to Ayodhya for the August 5 ‘Bhoomi Pujan’ ceremony of the Ram temple.

It is believed that Lord Ram came to Ujjain and stayed near the Shipra river after which one of the banks of the river was named Ram Ghat.

Speaking to ETV Bharat, leader of Awaahn Akhara and the central guiding member of Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Acharya Shekhar said that after pooja of the Shipra river and the Mahakaal temple, he will leave for Ayodhya with the soil and the bhasmaof the Mahakaleshwar temple.

On Wednesday, a member of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teertha Kshetra trust had said in Pune that Prime Minister Narendra Modi would attend the ground-breaking ceremony of the Ram temple on August 5.

The trust member, Swami Govind Devgiri Maharaj, had also said that in view of the Coronavirus pandemic, only 200 people would attend the ceremony and all social distancing norms will be followed at the event.
