In the letter addressed to the Maharashtra government, the Kutch administration asked how the person was allowed to move as he was residing in a containment zone.
Ship crew member returning from Maharashtra tests positive in Kutch Kutch district health officer Dr Prem Kumar Kannar told ETV Bharat, "The concerned person left Mumbai on April 28 and arrived in Kutch the next day. He tested positive after coronavirus test was conducted in a private laboratory in Gandhidham. He has been kept in an isolation ward for treatment in a private hospital. Persons who had come in contact with him have all tested negative."
"He managed to take permission from the Maharashtra administration and the director-general of shipping. The fact that he left the containment zone and came all the way to Kutch is a serious matter," added Kannar.
