Speaking on the occassion Shilpa said she joined the grand old party with a wish to see Rahul Gandhi as Prime Minister of India.
Shilpa Shinde, who came to the small screen in 1999, was in the soap opera 'Bhabhijigharpe hai' in 2014. However, she had to leave the serial midway owing to dispute with the producer.
In 2017, she participated in the eleventh season of the well-known reality show Bigg Boss and emerged as a winner.
Following her Big Boss victory Shilpa's career flourished got new thrust and she soon got her hands full of the offers. This included her IPL comedy parade stint along with noted commedian Sunil Grover.
Meanwhile, Congress plan to utilise Shilpa Shinde's services as star campaigner will be decided during 2019 general elections.
