SC to introduce e-filing of documents soon amid lockdown

The Supreme Court is at an advanced stage of trial of e-filing software for 24*7 filing of documents and therefore the clerks won't need to reach the apex court for filing.

New Delhi: Justice DY Chandrachud during an interaction with the lawyers via video conferencing, informed that the Supreme Court is at an advanced stage of trial of e-filing software for 24*7 filing of documents and therefore the clerks won't need to reach the apex court for filing.

The Supreme Court Bar Association and Supreme Court Advocates-on-Record Association would get a chance to check the software soon.

Justice Chandrachud who is head of the Supreme Court e-committee said that the video conferencing is going well and the troubles which have been occurring are now sorted.

Talking about the bright side of the lockdown, he said that for the first time he is able to see stars at night in Delhi and had a flock of peacocks in his garden.

Senior Advocate ADN Rao said that the pollution problem has been sorted, Yamuna is back as a river and he has heard that Ganga is also cleaner now.

He said that the lockdown should be continued till July at least.
