New Delhi: The Supreme Court has taken a suo moto cognizance of a complaint letter written by its appointed High Powered Committee's chairman for the Chardham project and is likely to hear it on 26th October.
The chairman had recently written a letter to the court alleging non-compliance of the court's order by the centre.
Earlier in September this year, the court had made it clear to the government that it has to abide by its own circular of 2018 wherein the width of the roads shall be 5.5m. It had also asked the government to plant trees to recover the damage caused by the construction of char Dham project.
