New Delhi:The Supreme Court on Friday sought response from Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on how is it planning to conduct compartment exams in September end amidst the prevailing extraordinary situation.
A three-judge bench headed by Justice AM Khanwilkar issued the notice on the petitions filed by students led by Anika Samvedi. The Court directed CBSE to file it’s response by September 7 and posted the case for hearing on September 10.
The CBSE submitted before the top court on Friday stating that it has increased the number of centres for compartment exams to 1278. Further, CBSE informed the apex court that only 12 students would be allowed to sit inside one exam centre in order to follow the social distancing norms. It said all the coronavirus precautions are being kept in focus and the notification regarding the exams is likely to be announced soon.
