New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Tuesday refused to pass any orders over a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) seeking uniterrupted supply of food for animals in zoos across the country amid the coronavirus pandemic.
The plea was filed by activist Sangeeta Dogra.
Justice S K Kaul replied saying, "During a pandemic when human lives are in trouble, animals in the zoo also have to be looked after. What do you expect the courts to do about it? If there are problems, the governments will take care of it."
The apex court disposed the matter off without passing any order on the PIL.
