New Delhi: Terming the Supreme Court verdict on Ayodhya: a 'judgement' and not 'justice', Tasleem Rehmani, president Muslim Political Council of India, said that there was nothing wrong in filing a review petition in the case.

Talking exclusively to the ETV Bharat here, Rehmani said even Nirmohi Akhara had expressed reservation on the judgement on the day of its pronouncement.

"There's nothing wrong in going for a review in the case," he said, asking had it been against the Hindus, wouldn't they have gone for a review?

"Many people, including senior journalists across society, in fact, half of the population want it to be reviewed," he said.

Rehmani also said that it was not being against the decision of the court.

"Reviews on top court's decisions have been very common and we too want to review its own decision in the Ayodhya case," he said.

Rehmani also clarified that no Muslim body for a long time held any public rally or protest related to the issue but BJP and VHP have done it many times.
