New Delhi:The Supreme Court of India on Tuesday directed the Centre to furnish details about the stranded Indian Tamil workers in Kuwait and other foreign countries.
The apex court has given direction upon hearing a petition by Forum for Tamil Workers in Abroad from Tamil Nadu. A bench of SC judges led by Justice Ashok Bhusan had heard the matter.
The petitioner sought directions to bring back the stranded Indian citizens at Kuwait and other countries by operating more flights under the Vande Bharat Mission.
The bench said that the centre has not submitted an exhaustive list of the Indian citizens being stranded and waiting for the repatriation during the pandemic.
