New Delhi:After Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh expressed his disappointment over Rahul Gandhi's resignation from Congress as the party president, he urged the Congress Working Committee (CWC) to appoint a 'young leader' who will be able to connect with India's large youth population and its grassroots.

Reports are doing rounds that Rajasthan Dy CM, Sachin Pilot; Jyotiraditya Scindia Congress General Secretary in-charge of Western Uttar Pradesh and Milind Deora, Mumbai Congress President are likely to be chosen as the next Congress president.
Speaking to ETV Bharat, political observer, Zainab Sikandar suggested that a strong, fierce leader is now mandatory for the grand old party to revive.
