'Resource planning essential for tackling population growth'

Jamaat-e-Islami Hind's Vice President Mohammed Saleem said 'resource planning' was essential for dealing with the problem of population growth. Saleem also said that they will make further efforts to eliminate problems like poverty, illiteracy, and unemployment.

New Delhi:Asserting that the issue of population growth was being misunderstood across the country, Jamaat-e-Islami Hind's Vice President Mohammed Saleem said that 'resource planning' was essential for dealing with the problem of population growth.

Speaking to ETV Bharat, on sidelines of the Population Regulation Bill being introduced in the Rajya Sabha on Friday, Saleem said that their policies and programmes will focus on reforming the Indian society.

Saleem also said that they will make further efforts to perform services to eliminate issues like poverty, illiteracy, and unemployment.

The organisation will also attempt to evoke the feeling of unity and togetherness.

Saleem said that they aim to bring together people from all path of life without any religious discrimination.

He further said that in order to avoid tension between communities and increase interactions, their organisation will set up Sadbhavna Manch at state and district levels.

Such initiatives are need of the hour considering the number of disturbances taking place in the country.

Saleem also said that their organisation has been taking up such initiatives from quite a long time. However, this time the organisation will take up these initiatives with much higher intensity.
