"I condemn the statement given by Raut. It seems that all is not well between Maharashtra chief minister Uddhav Thackrey and Sanjay Raut. Raut doesn't seem to be happy with Thakrey becoming the chief minister, that's why he has made such kind of baseless allegations."
He further questioned that on what basis Raut is making such allegations? "Does he have any proof to substantiate his statement," asked Alvi.
Alvi also criticised BJP and said that its work is to add fuel to the fire. "If such was the case then why didn't Fadnavis government investigate the matter when it was in power?" asked Alvi.
It is to be noted that BJP also sought an explanation from the Congress leadership over Raut's comments and asked why the party was silent on such "allegations" against their former leader.
