Faizabad (Uttar Pradesh):With a group of seers demanding change in the existing model of the proposed Ram temple to make it "more majestic", Mahant Kamal Nayan Das, a senior member of Ramjanmabhoomi Nyas - a trust set up to promote and oversee the construction of a temple in Ayodhya - said that it is important to ensure that the temple is built in the next two years while stressing that there is enough time to make the temple a grand one.

"We must ensure that the Ram temple is built at the Ram Janambhoomi in the next two years. We can always make the temple more majestic. This way it will take 20 years for the temple to be constructed," Das told ETV Bharat.

While requesting the seers to refrain from passing comments on the Ram temple, Das, who is the successor to the present head of the Ramjanmabhoomi Nyas, added, "I wish to celebrate Ram Navami, 2022 (a Hindu festival celebrating the birth of Lord Ram) at Lord Ram's temple at Ayodhya. "

Das further said that he along with other members of the Nyas is likely to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi to request him to ensure speedy construction of the Ram temple.
