Mathura:Mahant Nritya Gopal Das, chairman of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has tested positive for the coronavirus. He will be admitted to Delhi's Medanta Hospital for treatment. According to sources, Das was experiencing breathing difficulties after which he underwent a test.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adtiyanath has sought details and also spoke to Mathura DM and DR Trehan to provide him with all medical assistance.
"CM has taken details of the health status on Mahant Nitya Gopaldas who has tested COVID19 positive. He has spoken to DM Mathura and to Dr Trehan of Medanta and requested for immediate medical attention for him at the hospital," Chief Ministers' office said in a statement.
Health condition of Nritya Gopal Das deteriorated on Thursday in Mathura. Gopal was in Mathura's Sitaram Mandir on a four-day-stay. As soon as the information of his deteriorating health condition came to light, a team of doctors rushed for immediate medical attention. A special team of doctors is continuously monitoring his situation. District administration officials also rushed to the spot and all the COVID-19 related directives are being followed.
