Lucknow(Uttar Pradesh):Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh pushed back against accusations after the Rajasthan government sent Rs 36 lakh bill to Uttar Pradesh government for arranging buses for ferrying stranded students' from Kota to UP. On one hand, Yogi- led government claimed that their state has paid the entire amount of Rs 36 lakh whereas Rajasthan govt said that they have received only an amount of Rs 19 lakhs.
"Rajasthan had sent a bill of Rs 36 lakhs to the UP government for the buses to send back stranded Kota students to UP. But the UP government has paid only an amount of Rs 19 lakhs till now," said Rajasthan Transport Minister Pratap Singh Khachariyawas.
Managing Director, UP State Road Transport Corporation said the UP government had sent buses to bring back students stranded in Kota during the lockdown and some extra buses had been arranged by the Rajasthan government. "Our buses were used to bring back stranded UP students from Kota following the Govt orders. 94 buses of Rajasthan Roadways were also used. Bill of Rs. 36 lakhs was raised by Rajasthan govt for the same, it has been paid now," the officer said.
