Jaipur: It has come to the fore that Rajasthan's DGP Bhupendra Singh Yadav has sought retirement through Voluntary retirement scheme (VRS).
Yadav met Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Wednesday where the duo are believed to have discussed the matter.
Speculation has been rife that Gehlot led Government is keen to give Singh an important portfolio after his retirement through VRS. He can be made the RPSC Chairman in Rajasthan.
ML Lather (1987 Batch IPS) and BL Soni are two senior police officers in the upper echelons of state police who are being considered as front runners for the top post after Yadav's retirement.
