New Delhi: Amid the escalating Border tensions between India and China, Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi stepped up attacks on Prime Minister Narendra Modi while urging him to take the nation into confidence over the extent of territories occupied by Chinese troops.
The video messages came in the wake of party's nationwide demonstration, 'Shaheedon ko Salaam Divas', against the Central Government while paying homage to the martyred soldiers who laid their lives during the violent face-off with Chinese troops in Galwan Valley.
"The entire country is standing together with the army and government. But a critical question remains. A few days ago, the Prime Minister said, 'No one has taken an inch of Indian land; no one is inside Indian territory' but we are hearing, satellite photos have shown, people in Ladakh and retired Generals saying that China has snatched our land. Not in one place but three," said Rahul Gandhi in the video.
He further added, "Mr Prime Minister, you have to speak the truth to the country. Don't be afraid. If you deny the fact, it will benefit China. We have to fight them together and kick them out.
