New Delhi: A ruckus erupted in Parliament on Thursday when Bharatiya Janata Party strongly opposed Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's 'dande marenge' remark on Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Gandhi had launched a scathing attack on Modi over the ongoing job crisis on Wednesday and said “The PM won’t be able to come out of his home. The youth will beat him up with sticks and make him understand that his country can’t progress without providing jobs to youth.”
However, clarifying on his statement, the Congress party said that Rahul Gandhi was seeking answers on unemployment from the Prime Minister on behalf of the youth of this country, who is suffering from the same.
Speaking to ETV Bharat, Congress spokesperson Ragini Nayak said, "Economy of the country is in shambles right now as it is witnessing highest unemployment rate in the last 45 years and it slipped 10 places in the 2019 global ranking to 51st place. In the view of the current situation of the nation, Rahul Gandhi has placed an appropriate question in front of PM Modi."
Rahul Gandhi has been constantly asking about the future of country's youth, she said, adding what happened to those two crores jobs which Modi government had promised?
