Priyanka attacks PM Modi for not visiting Varanasi village

Congress general secretary of Uttar Pradesh East Priyanka Gandhi Vadra attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for not visiting villages in his own constituency of Varanasi. She was addressing a rally at Ayodhya in Uttar Pradesh.

Ayodhya: Launching a scathing attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi ahead of 2019 general elections, Congress' Uttar Pradesh East general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Friday accused PM Modi of not visiting villages in Varanasi. Priyanka was addressing a rally in Uttar Pradesh's Ayodhya.

Attacking PM Modi's publicity, Priyanka said, "I was not surprised because his publicity is such that I thought he must have been doing something."

Accusing PM Modi of being ignorant towards the people of the villages in Varanasi, she added: "He visited the whole world and hugged everyone, but he didn't hug his own people."

Quoting a person she met while on her Varanasi visit, Priyanka said, "I asked people if PM visits villages in Varanasi, I got the reply 'he does not visit'."

Incidentally, Varanasi is Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Lok Sabha constituency.
