Prince Raj will win Samastipur seat with huge margin: Pashupati Kumar Paras

LJP MP Pashupati Kumar Paras says Prince Raj, nephew of LJP chief and Union minister Ram Vilas Paswan, will win Samastipur Lok Sabha seat with a huge margin of votes.

New Delhi: Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) MP Pashupati Kumar Paras on Thursday said Prince Raj, nephew of LJP chief and Union minister Ram Vilas Paswan, will win the by-polls from Samastipur Lok Sabha seat, which fell vacant after the death of his father in July last, by a huge margin.

Talking to ETV Bharat, Paras said Prince Raj is a hardworking man and he will win the Lok Sabha seat with over four lakh votes.

"Ashok Ram is the Congress candidate from the seat and he will lose the polls. He lost it against Ramchander Paswan also and this time around he will be defeated by Prince Raj," he said. Bihar will have bypolls on five state assembly seats along with Samastipur Lok Sabha seat on October 21. LJP is an ally of BJP and they contested the 2019 Lok Sabha polls together. The Samastipur seat fell vacant after the death of Mr Paswan's younger brother Ramchander Paswan two months ago. Prince Raj is the son of Ramchander Paswan. According to the Election Commission schedule, the counting of votes will take place on October 24.
