New Delhi: Terming questions raised by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Congress concerning abrogation of article 370 as "unfortunate", the Congress on Tuesday said the matter was in the Supreme Court and must not be commented upon.

"It's unfortunate that the Prime Minister is making it an issue of electioneering," Congress spokesperson and former union minister Manish Tiwari said here.He said Modi must not forget that the issue is in the court."In case, the Prime Minister is so proud on his decision (of abrogating the article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir) then why there has been restrictions in the region? Why political leaders and social workers have been detained," the Congress leader asked. On Sunday, Modi attacked the Congress and the NCP over nullification of article 370, and said "if they have guts" to declare in their poll manifesto that they would restore the provisions giving special status to Jammu and Kashmir. He had also accused some opposition leaders of speaking on the lines of a "neighbouring country" on the Article 370 issue which was "exactly opposite" the national sentiment.
