Bengaluru:Union Minister of Defence, Rajnath Singh said that necessary precautions and safety measures would be taken in Aero India 2021. He made the statement while addressing media after an apex committee meeting of Aero India in Vidhana Souda.
Speaking to reporters, Singh said Bengaluru has witnessed many Aero India events and it has a lot of experience in conducting Aero India. "I am confident that this time it would be a successful event amidst Covid," he added.
The Apex committee meeting was chaired by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa and Air Force officers.
Aero India 2019 had witnessed two accidents. One happened during a practice session in which two IAF pilots lost life in an air accident and in another, a fire broke out in a parking section devastating more than 300 cars.
