New Delhi:Dalit leader and national president of Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi party Prakash Ambedkar on Wednesday staged a protest against the Citizenship (Amendment) Act (CAA) at Jantar Mantar in Delhi and demanded the rollback of the contentious act by March 27.

Demanding the rollback of the CAA, he said, "NRC should not be implemented in the country and if the government didn't repeal the CAA by March 27, we will again march to Delhi and make sure that you take it back."

"I want to ask that why didn't the government ask the opposition parties before tabling the CAA," said Prakash.

He further slammed Congress by saying that after the Delhi violence Congress party demanded the resignation of Home Minister Amit Shah and not Prime Minister Narendra Modi's resignation, this shows that according to Congress, "PM Modi is right, and Amit Shah is wrong."

However, the opposition parties on Tuesday raised slogans against Prime Minister and demanded his resignation.

He also said that the government must clarify how many infiltrators are living in India. If we read the Parliament records then we see that they are not more than 5000 people who want Indian citizenship.
