Policeman from tribal community in Kerala alleges of mental harassment from colleagues

Hari, a policeman at Agali Police Station, complained on Monday that he is facing mental harassment by his colleagues. Hari also alleged that other policemen in the village are spreading rumours about him.

Attappadi (Kerala): A policeman hailing from a tribal community in Attappadi in Kerala, serving in Agali Police station, complained on Monday that he is facing mental harassment from his colleagues.

Hari had complained about this to the Chief Minister and the Chief of Police but no action is taken yet.

In his complaint, he said that six of his colleagues have been mentally harassing him for over a year and also some of them threatened his wife over the phone and misbehaved.

Hari was awarded the badge of honour for his service in the Maoist affected areas.

Hari also alleged that other policemen in the village are spreading rumours about him.

However, the ASP denied these allegations and said, "a detailed inquiry will be held in this matter."
