PM Narendra Modi is the 'second Gandhi': Vijay Goel

Senior BJP Leader Vijay Goel referred to PM Modi as the 'second Gandhi' at an event held to honour the Father of the Nation on his 150th birth anniversary. He praised PM Modi for his efforts to end discrimination and said that he is a follower of Gandhi's ideals.

New Delhi:Former Union Minister Vijay Goel referred to Prime Minister Narendra Modi as the 'second Gandhi' on Wednesday, the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.

He made this statement while attending an event held in Delhi to commemorate Gandhi Jayanti.

"PM Modi is leading the nation while following the ideals Gandhiji. He is working on the eradication of caste-based discrimination in the country and is also striving to keep it clean through various cleanliness drives," Goel said.

He went on to say, "The American President referred to our PM as the Father of India, this clearly signifies that he is leading our country in the right direction."

The BJP leader also highlighted the PM's efforts visible through the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan and the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Abhiyan.
