Hyderabad:The Twitter account linked to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s personal website, have been hacked on Thursday. The hijackers have posted fake tweets, soliciting cryptocurrency, which has now been deleted, media reported on Thursday.
The messages posted from PM Modi's Twitter account, has 2.5 Million followers and is linked to his personal website read as below: "I appeal to you all to donate generously to PM National Relief Fund for Covid-19, Now India begin with cryptocurrency, Kindly Donate eth to 0xae073DB1e5752faFF169B1ede7E8E94bF7f80Be6."
"This account is hacked by John Wick (hckindia@tutanota.com), We have not hacked Paytm Mall," read the tweet.

Earlier on June 16, a number of high profile Twitter accounts including that of US presidential hopeful Joe Biden, Tesla CEO Elon Musk, Microsoft Co-founder Bill Gates and of Apple were simultaneously hacked by attackers to carry out what appeared to be a cryptocurrency scam.
The tweet also contained a bitcoin address, presumably one associated with the hacker's crypto wallet. The tweet was then deleted and replaced by another one more plainly laying out the fake promotion.
