New Delhi:Prime Minister Narendra Modi will on Wednesday take part in the 15th India-European Union (EU) summit, which will be held via video conference.
"Will take part in the India-European Union (EU) Summit at 4:30 PM today. I am confident this Summit will further strengthen our economic as well as cultural linkages with Europe," Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hold extensive talks with President of the European Council Charles Michel and President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen on a range of issues in the summit, EU officials had earlier said.
In the summit, the two sides are also expected to delve into finding a way forward to resume talks on the long-pending free trade agreement which is known as EU-India Broad-based Trade and Investment Agreement (BTIA).
The leaders are expected to reiterate their determination to promote effective multilateralism and a rules-based multilateral order, with the United Nations (UN) and the World Trade Organisation (WTO) at its core, the officials had said.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of External Affairs had earlier informed that the summit will review India-EU cooperation covering political and security relations, trade and investment and economic cooperation.
