PM Modi to feature on Discovery's Man vs Wild TV show

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be featuring on Discovery channel's Man versus Wild adventure TV show. The episode, showing Modi going on an adventure exploring the wilderness of the Uttarakhand, is likely to be aired on August 12 at 9 pm.

Uttarakhand:Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be featuring on Discovery channel's Man versus Wild TV show hosted by popular survival instructor Bear Grylls. The announcement was made by Grylls on July 29 via his Twitter handle, which said that he would be venturing into the wild with one of the "world's most powerful leaders".

In a clip of the show that was shared by Grylls on his Twitter account, PM Modi can be seen riding a small dinghy in a river along with the adventure travel show host in Uttarakhand.

In another scene, PM Modi is seen welcoming Grylls to India and holding up a weapon carved out of bamboo and other material collected from the forest and saying, "Main aapke liye isko mere paas rakhunga (I will keep this with me for you)."

To this, Grylls replies with a laughter, "You are the most important man in India, my job is to keep you alive."

The show has been shot as a means to promote awareness on animal conservation and environmental change.

The show will air on Discovery Channel on August 12 at 9 pm.
