Modi takes blessings from Advani, Joshi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP president Amit Shah met party veterans LK Advani, Murli Manohar Joshi after winning a thumping majority of over 300 seats in Lok Sabha polls, 2019.

New Delhi: A day after winning a thumping majority of over 300 seats to the 17th Lok Sabha, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) president Amit Shah on Friday met party veteran L.K. Advani at his residence.

After the meeting, Modi took to his Twitter handle to express his gratitude to the senior leader.

The duo also met Murli Manohar Joshi, another senior BJP leader later in the day.

Praising Joshi as a "scholar and intellectual par excellence", PM Modi tweeted pictures of him hugging the saffron party leader.
