PIL in SC seeking re-opening of religious places

A PIL has been filed in SC seeking re-opening of religious places of all faiths across the country which have been closed due to the COVID pandemic.

New Delhi:A Public Interest Litigation has been filed in the Supreme Court seeking reopening of religious places of all faiths across the country which have been closed due to the COVID pandemic.

The petitioner says that the religious places can be opened following safety guidelines and protocols so that there is no congregation and the devotees can visit the places as well.

Petitioner contends that going to religious places can help people with mental stress which has been caused due to the pandemic.
