New Delhi:The Union Petroleum and Natural Gas Ministry is gearing up for establishing 5000 Compressed Bio-Gas (CBG) plants across India. The top sources with the ministry claim this project will not only attract revenues and it would also generate revenue of thousands of youths.
The CBS project will be implemented under the flagship program Atma Nirbhar Bharat to encourage green renewable energy usage.
“Sustainable Alternative Towards Affordable Transportation (SATAT) was the scheme announced by the centre to bring out green renewable energy resources. With SATAT, the mass establishment of 5000 CBG plants will be done within 2023,” the official added.
On June 23rd, Union Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan had a video conference meeting with the Tamil Nadu CM. During the meeting, the Union Minister and the TN CM Edappadi K Palaniswami, along with IOCL Executive Director P Jayadevan had inaugurated a CBG plant in Namakkal of Tamil Nadu.
