People have protected democracy and Constitution by defeating BJP: Jay Prakash Yadav

Veteran RJD leader Jay Prakash Yadav said that by defeating BJP in Delhi Assembly elections, people have protected democracy and the Constitution. BJP did a very toxic campaign by supporting the assassin of Mahatma Gandhi but ultimately peace emerged victorious.

New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has once again led the AAP wave in the national capital. Not living up to the party's expectation, opposition BJP's performance has considerably improved as compared to the last assembly results. Congress and RJD alliance have failed miserably.

Yadav accused BJP of doing politics on religious lines

In an exclusive interview to ETV Bharat, former Union Minister and veteran RJD leader Jay Prakash Yadav has congratulated Aam Aadmi Party for holding their incumbent seat for the third consecutive term and registering a clean sweep.

''By defeating BJP, people have decided to protect democracy and Constitution. People have given a befitting reply to the party who is indulged in spreading hatred. Bhartiya Janta Party is doing politics on religious lines and wants to divide the nation'', said Yadav.

He further said that peace has won in Delhi. BJP did a very toxic campaign by supporting the assassin of Mahatma Gandhi, Nathuram Godse. Party was trying to raise the issue of Shaheen Bagh and Pakistan but the people of Delhi have rejected each one of them.

Accepting the defeat of ally of Congress and RJD, Yadav stated that we will examine the issues where we have lacked behind. Our only aim was to beat BJP. Even Bihar's CM Nitish Kumar campaigned for BJP but all went in vain.
