Badaun: A major incident was averted in Uttar Pradesh as all the eight passengers along with the driver and cleaner escaped unhurt when a bus they were travelling in caught fire.
The incident happened at Daulatpur in Veerganj late on Friday. The bus was travelling from Muradabad to Badaun.
According to reports, the fire engulfed the vehicle all of a sudden. It was a narrow escape for all the eight passengers who jumped off the bus immediately.
The vehicle reportedly caught fire due to a short circuit in the engine. Minutes after receiving information, a fleet of fire tenders reached the spot and doused the flames. The police also reached the scene to access the damage before investigation.
