At least ten Hindu and Sikh families from Pakistan who came to India in the recent past, have narrated their ordeal by expressing their grief and pain.

They would like to die in India rather than returning to Pakistan.

Bharat, a 9th standard student who recently migrated from the neighbouring country, said that he does not have any problem with Pakistan as he was born there but people living there create lots of trouble for non-Muslims.

"Rules are different for Hindus in Pakistan. Hindu people are forcefully abducted and converted into Islam," Bharat claimed.

Bharat along with his two brothers and some other people of his locality came to India on February 4.

Speaking exclusively to ETV Bharat, he appealed the government to provide him with some place to live in India so that he can continue his studies further.

Krishna, who came to India from Pakistan in the year 2013, said that the situation in Pakistan is still the same. He revealed that Hindu women face huge atrocities and there is no law and order in the nation to provide safety to them.

"Under these crucial circumstances, we only have one option left with us that is to seek shelter in India," Krishna said.

He believes that the newly amended Citizenship Amendment Act will help many destitute people and hopes that the Indian government will give him citizenship as early as possible.
