Bengaluru: Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Tuesday slammed Pakistan for not acting against terrorists despite giving them evidences.
Reacting over Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan’s statement that India blamed Pakistan for the Pulwama attack without any evidence, Defence Minister on Tuesday said the Indian government has given dossiers after dossiers since Mumbai attack but the Pakistan has not acted against the perpetrators.
Addressing the Aero India’s curtain raiser press conference here, Sitharaman said, “Since the Mumbai attacks, not just this government the earlier government also has sent dossiers after dossiers, evidence after evidence, what action has Pakistan taken on them?”
She also said in India due process has always been followed and even the Mumbai attackers were given the same but in Pakistan not even the first court is completing its job.
“I want to go to the situation where evidence has been provided by successive governments and in India following due process of law, at every level the courts have been approached and the Mumbai attackers have been given given a due process and then punished too. But in Pakistan, even the first court has not been completing its job. There is nothing for Pakistan to show that they have taken action on earlier evidence provided to them,” said Sitharaman when asked about Mr Khan’s response on Pulwama attack.
