Bengaluru (Karnataka):Over 45 trees were uprooted in Jayanagar area of Karnataka’s Bengaluru on Friday after heavy rains, accompanied by strong wind, lashed the city. However, no loss of life or casualties have been reported so far.
Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) control rooms received only three complaints pertaining to water-logging, despite most of the city’s low-lying areas being inundated in flash floods. But it did receive complaints on trees being uprooted in areas such as Malleswaram, CV Raman Nagar, Subramanya Nagar, Mysore Road, among others.
