New Delhi:Onion prices are continuously increasing, which is causing problems for consumers. Keeping this in view, the Central Consumer Affairs along with the Ministry of Food and Public Distribution has taken some important decisions so that consumers can get relief.
To curb the rising prices of onion, the export of onion has been banned. Onion is being supplied from the buffer stock. Import rules have also been relaxed by the central government. With this step of the government, onion prices will be reduced and the availability of onion will also increase. Onion is being sold at Rs 50 per kg in Delhi, Rs 67 per kg in Mumbai, Rs 65 per kg in Kolkata.
