New Delhi: In view several rumours doing the round in the wake of the global outbreak of coronavirus, KK Agarwal, a senior doctor practising in Delhi clarified that consumption of non-vegetarian food does not lead to COVID-19 and that masks are only supposed to be worn by those suffering from cold, cough or fever.

Elaborating on the ways to avoid contraction of the deadly virus, Dr Agarwal said, "soap and water are the best forms of sanitiser. It is important to sanitise the things you touch including the doorknobs, table, among other things, with 0.1 percent of bleaching powder. If you happen to cough into your hands, you must wash them immediately following the SUMAN -K method."
