Noida Police issues challan to its own officer for violating traffic rules

Noida Police issues challan to one of its own officers after a Twitter user posted a photograph of the officer talking over the phone and riding a bike.

Noida:A careless attitude towards the law by a law enforcer cost him dearly after he was photographed violating the traffic rules and the photograph was shared in social media. Noida police slapped the fine on one of its officers after a photograph of him surfaced on the internet where the officer did not wear a helmet and was talking over the phone while riding a bike in Noida Sector 18.

According to reports, the Noida police received a tweet regarding one of its officers riding a bike without following the guidelines of the Motor Vehicles Act.

A twitter user, named Ashish Gupta tweeted a photograph of the police officer while on the move and tagged Noida Police as well as SSP Noida for such callousness towards rules.

Police, however, was on its edge as it immediately took charge of the matter and slapped a fine of Rs.1500 to the defaulter.

Replying to the complainant's twitter post, Noida Police had shared a copy of the challan issued to the defaulter and posted it as a reply to the matter.

Speaking over the issue, SP Traffic Anil Kumar Jha asserted that it was a clear violation and rules were the same for one and all. Therefore. a challan was issued to the police officer without any consideration.
