New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Monday refused to entertain a petition filed by Schools Association of Uttarakhand which challenged the Uttarakhand HC order of not charging fee during the lockdown. The decision had come for the unaided private schools and the court had left on the state to decide the matter.
The order also made paying fees optional for conducting online classes.
The schools contended before the top court that they are imparting education even though it is online and they had the right to charge a fee. Adding on further they said that 100% strength is taking online classes but less than 10% are paying the fee.
