New Delhi:The government on Wednesday informed the parliament that no infiltration has been reported along the India-China border in the last six months.
On a question asked by Rajya Sabha MP Dr Anil Agarwal that weather cases of infiltration from Pakistan and China have increased during the last six months, Minister of State for Home Affairs Nityanand Rai replied, "No infiltration has been reported along Indo China border during the last six months."
In his reply, Nityanand Rai did not give any further clarification and stated that 47 attempts of infiltration were reported from Pakistan since February.
"The government has adopted a multi-pronged approach to contain cross-border infiltration, which inter-alia include multi-tiered deployment along the international border/Line of Control, improved intelligence and operational coordination, border fencing, deploying technological solutions and taking pro-active action against infiltrators," Rai added.
