Gaya:Officials of National Investigation Agency (NIA) arrested an alleged arms trafficker from Bihar's Gaya district in connection with the theft of AK-47 rifles from Madhya Pradesh.
The accused Rajiv Ranjan Singh is an elected panchayat head from Bihar's Gaya district and has been arrested in connection with the theft of weapon parts from Indian Ordnance Factory in Jabalpur.
NIA officials said that Rajiv Ranjan Singh alias Chuunu Singh has charges of theft and illegal smuggling of weapon parts.
Police officer Rakesh Kumar said, "We received the information through NIA's official Twitter that one person has been arrested on charges of theft of AK-47 rifles."
