Jaipur: A married woman was allegedly gang-raped in a hotel room under the Vishwakarma police station limits in Jaipur. According to the woman's complaint, a relative and his two friends raped her.
Vishwakarma police has launched an investigation into the incident and the woman was sent for medical examination.
Police officer Maangilal Vishnoi said that a 26-year-old woman named Chauru, who is a resident of Sardar town, has filed a complaint alleging that three men raped her in a hotel. She said that she asked for financial help of Rs 1000 from her relative after which he asked her to come to the hotel to take the money. After reaching the hotel, he raped her along with his two friends and threatened to not tell anyone.
Police are interrogating the hotel staff and CCTVs installed in the hotel are also being checked. The police assured that the accused will be arrested soon.
