New Delhi:In a response to Jammu and Kashmir Governor, who offered an aircraft for the Congress leader to monitor the situation in the valley, Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday said that one needs freedom to visit the valley and meet its residents, leaders and security personnel.
"We won't need an aircraft but please ensure use the freedom to travel and meet the people, mainstream leaders and our soldiers stationed over there," Gandhi tweeted.
The Jammu and Kashmir police on Saturday night said that the situation in the state was peaceful and no untoward incident has been reported in last one week.
The police was asked about the situation in the state after Congress leader Rahul Gandhi told mediapersons in New Delhi that situation was "very wrong".
