NDA will complete 5-yr-term in Bihar: Shahnawaz Hussain

As JD(U) chief Nitish Kumar is set to return for a consecutive fourth term as Chief Minister of Bihar, BJP's national spokesperson Shahnawaz Hussain claimed that the NDA government will complete five-year-term in the state. However, Akhilesh Singh, former Union Minister and Rajya Sabha member of the Congress party claimed that the NDA is not going to complete its full term in Bihar.

New Delhi: Bharatiya Janata Party's national spokesperson Shahnawaz Hussain on Sunday said that the NDA government led by Nitish Kumar will complete five-year-term in the state.

Speaking to ETV Bharat, Hussain said that the NDA would successfully complete full five-year-term as people of Bihar has shown faith in Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

"Bihar will touch great heights under the leadership of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and the Centre will keep supporting the state government as it has been doing," he said.

Asked whether Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM) and Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP) will stay with NDA for five years, Hussain said that the interest of allied parties in the coalition will be taken care of and they will stay with NDA without a doubt.

However, Akhilesh Singh, former Union Minister and Rajya Sabha member of the Congress party claimed that the NDA is not going to complete its full term in Bihar.

"Nitish Kumar is becoming the Chief Minister because of pressure by the BJP. The mandate in Bihar was for the Mahagathbandhan (Grand Alliance) but many of its leaders were defeated in a mala fide way," he said.

It is pertinent to mention here that JD(U) chief Nitish Kumar was unanimously elected as the leader of the NDA legislature party at a meeting in Patna and is set to return for a consecutive fourth term as Chief Minister of Bihar.
