Nation should not see one more communal violence: IUML President bats for Hindu-Muslim unity

Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) national president and former Tamil Nadu MP K M Kader Mohideen, after visiting the riot-affected areas in North Delhi on Tuesday said that the nation should not witness communal violence again and Hindu - Muslim brotherhood should continue in India.

New Delhi: After visiting the riot affected areas in North Delhi on Tuesday, Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) national president and former Tamil Nadu MP K M Kader Mohideen expressed his desire that the nation should not witness communal violence again and Hindu - Muslim brotherhood should continue in India.

A team of IUML workers from Tamil Nadu , Kerala ,Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, and Delhi had involved in relief and rehabilitation works in Brijpuri Road, Old Mustafabad in Delhi.

IUML President Kader Mohideen and it's General Secretary PK Kunhalikutty MP had given relief fund and materials to eight Muslim and two Hindu families which lost their kin in the riots last week.

Speaking to ETV Bharat, Kader Mohideen said that he is party does not want communal violence in the nation.

"Our party and Kerala Muslim Center (KMC) have been involving in relief and rehabilitation works in the violence affected area. Myself and our party workers visited the riot-hit areas. We have granted Rs.1 lakh relief fund to each family which had lost their kin. India should not see one more communal violence," Mohideen told ETV Bharat.

He further said his party wants Hindu-Muslim unity and brotherhood relationship.

"We have planned to renovate 12 Masjids in north-east Delhi. As a sign of social harmony, we will also renovate two Hindu Temples vandalised in the riot.We are all human and Indian first," the IUML president noted.

Kerala's Malappuram MP PK Kunhalikutty stated that his party workers are heading to Meerut for meeting 23 families which had lost their members in the violence.

"Our party and KMC will extend relief and rehabilitation works in Meerut too," he told ETV Bharat.
