New Delhi: The Naga communities on Saturday have threatened to boycott the forthcoming general elections.
Thousands of Nagas from across the globe took out a rally in New Delhi demanding Indo-Naga political solution before the upcoming elections.
The interlocutor for the Indo-Naga political solution RN Ravi, representing Government of India, is heading for a three-day long visit to Nagaland from February 26. Government official said that Ravi will try to convince different sections of the Naga community to participate in the electoral process.
"The Modi Government has betrayed us. During the last general election, Modi assured that our demand will be seriously considered and an early solution will be given...but nothing happened," said Joesh, a Naga leader.
Nagas from across the globe took out a massive rally from Nepal embassy in New Delhi and culminated at Jantar Mantar. They have been demanding for a sovereign Nagalim state.
