New Delhi:In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, the All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB) and Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind on Thursday urged Muslims to offer Zuhur prayers at home instead of praying Jumah at mosques.
Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind president Maulana Arshad Madani appealed to the people to follow the lockdown in order to arrest the spread of the virus. He also asked the people to axtend their help to the needy in thses tough times.
"Only four people Imam, Mu'ajin, Khadim and Zuma should offer prayers at the mosque. It's advisable that people should pray at homes",Maulana Arshad Madani.
As far as namaaz is concerned, Madani urged people to pray at their homes and not visit the mosque during the lockdown
"Due to #NovelCoronavirus pandemic, Muslims are recommended to offer Zuhur at home instead of praying Jumah at mosques. DON'T come out for congregational prayers and #StayAtHomeSaveLives. It is mandatory upon all to avoid causing harm to their fellow citizens. #NoJumahInMasjid," AIMPLB tweeted.
