New Delhi: The woman district judge from Madhya Pradesh who resigned after making allegations of sexual harassment against a judge of the Madhya Pradesh High Court told the Supreme Court on Wednesday that she is only seeking reinstatement.
Senior Advocate Indira Jaising, appearing on behalf of the district judge, told the top court that she is not willing to pursue the complaint of sexual harassment against Justice SK Gangele anymore.
"She is seeking to be reinstated as a judge in light of the findings of the inquiry Committee. She is ready to leave the whole episode behind and would like to be reinstated anywhere in north India. She is ready to forego her remuneration for the period for which she was not in the judicial services. However, she is not ready to forego her seniority," said Jaising on behalf of the district judge.
